Second Chinese invasion in Europe
According to German Newspapers and magazines, Jiangaling’s Fengshang MPV will come to Europe in November, adding this way a second model in Lanwind’s car range.
The Fengshang, which was designed and engineered by I.DE.A. Institute of Italy, will compete against smaller MPV’s as the Opel Meriva and Nissan Note, severally undercutting them in price as it is speculated that the Chinese mini MPV will cost under 10.000 euros ($ 12.000). The 4.410 mm car is equipped in China with two engines, 1.6 and 2.0 litres producing 98 and 139 hp respectively, but it is unknown if the European version will get those engines.
Finally, we don’t know if the car will get tested by EuroNCAP or by ADAC, which is quite important for European consumers. Last year the Landwind SUV got the worst scores ever seen in the ADAC tests.
